Master Anthony Daly
Martial Art History
Mr. Anthony Daly began his martial art training in the Art of Tae Kwon Do in 1988. His instructor was Mr. David Jackson 2nd Dan in the Republic of Ireland Tae Kwon Do Association (RITA). Classes were held in the Old Corbally Sports Complex and he trained there for about a year. He also trained with Mr. Billy Keane 3rd Dan and Master Frankie Barrett 7th Dan.
Then in 1990 Mr. Daly witnessed a Martial Art Demonstration in St. Brigid's Hall by Master Des Galligan 5th Dan. He was very impressed and decided to take up Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan. Master Galligan introduced Tang Soo Do into Ireland in 1990 and Mr. Daly was lucky to be one of the first members of the club.

This was Grandmaster Kim's first visit to Ireland and was funded by Master Galligan and his Tang Soo Do students.
In 2000 Mr. Daly was graded for his 2nd Dan Black Belt by Master Galligan. He has also trained with Master Nar 4th Dan and some of Master Hedge's black belts

17th of December 2006, Mr Daly graded for 4th Dan Black Belt by Master Galligan and certified by Grandmaster Jae Joon Kim. With great sadness Grandmaster Jae Joon Kim passed away on the 9th of January 2007. Master Daly was one of the last Tang Soo Do Members to receive a Masters Certificate from Grandmaster Jae Joon Kim before his unfortunate death. It has been a great honour to have trained with Grandmaster Kim and to be certified from 10th gup to 4th Dan Black Belt in his World Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do Federation.
