Chuck Norris is probably best known to the general public as an action movie and TV star. However he is much more than that, he is probably one of the most successful Martial Art Champion's to make a career in Hollywood

Chuck Ray Norris was born on March 10th 1940, the son of a Cherokee father and a white mother. Serving in the US Air Force, at the age of 19, he was stationed in Korea where he began taking Judo lessons. He was soon afterwards introduced to the Korean Martial Art of Tang Soo Do, becoming a student of Master Jae Chul Chin, it was a life changing moment.

Although he failed his first blacket belt grading, Chuck got his Shodan after only two years training in 1961, the grading being performed by the founder of Tang Soo Do, Hwang Kee, the rest as they say is history
